How I Therapy
There is always a new day, and a new way.
Sometimes I get questions about what style of therapy I practice. Given the increased interest and information about therapy and mental health services on social media now, potential clients often have questions.
I understand an interest in certain approaches, as well as why you might want to know if I, or any therapist you speak with, have experience in a particular area or set of issues. There is no guarantee that one approach will work better than another for you, and I must share that the power of therapy is in the relationship between you and your therapist.
Given that, it might help you to feel more comfortable in our relationship if you know a bit more about my approach to this work. I always welcome questions from my clients in our work together.
There is no one-size-fits-all for healing. Whether you’re looking for immediate relief, ongoing support, or a structured approach, my services are designed to meet you exactly where you are. Together, we will work towards your most optimal self and help you move forward with confidence, inner wisdom, agency, and increased peace and clarity.
I'm glad you're here.
Is therapy or coaching right for you?
Are you feeling lost or disconnected from yourself?
Aware of past traumas you would like to feel free from?
Are you worried about the future?
Are you having trouble sleeping or resting?
Is your life overwhelming?
Do you wish you were more confident?
Is it hard for you so speak up in your life?
Do you feel frozen or unable to make decisions?
Do you feel alone or lacking support?
Do relationships feel painful or difficult to navigate?
Are you in grief?
Do you want to improve the relationship with your body?
Has talk therapy not provided enough care?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, it is time to explore working together.
What is my therapeutic approach?
Healing work, as well as spiritual journeys, need a teacher, a guide, or someone to witness and reflect back what is true and what is not. My humanist and trauma-informed approach offers compassionate care in a warm environment.
My therapeutic approach is not only informed by my clinical training and standards of care, but by other forms and modalities for healing that come from mind-body-spirit practices. I’m a certified embodiment teacher and Reiki practitioner, and I spent many years teaching yoga (I still teach sometimes and love my practice so much!)
I specialize in holding space for high-achieving professionals, creatives, artists, entrepreneurs, and those with complex personal histories. I believe wellness is a human right, and I bring my whole heart to our work together. Through meaningful conversation and somatic awareness, we develop new ways of being and create strategies you can use in your everyday life.
People often assume therapy is about finding answers, but it is actually about asking better questions. I, (and most therapists) rarely tell people what to do, but I can help you hold contradictory feelings and clarify your thoughts and feelings.
We often begin therapy with one story and leave with another.
You can always come home to yourself.

I practice with a love ethic and a humanist framework. This means unconditional respect for who you are and a belief that you already hold the answers. I also work from a Feminist Theory approach, which means your identity, your relationships, and the power dynamics around all of us shape who you are and your experiences. Feminist theory ideally fosters authenticity in the therapeutic relationship, but also in their other relationships and one’s entire community.
We do not exist in vacuums, and a conscious social justice lens is imperative for this work.
As a therapist, it is important I provide a base of evidence-based modalities, such as EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing) and Mindfulness-based therapies, along with select Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) approaches. Even with my belief in somatic therapy, a holistic, well-rounded set of tools and techniques backed by science helps our work together be personalized and purposeful.
However, my therapeutic approach is not only informed by my clinical training but by many modalities for healing that come from mind-body-spirit practices. In my work, the spiritual, the esoteric, and the mystical are welcomed. If you’re witchy and wondering if a therapist could meet you where you are…. I’m here for you!
Your own bodily and intuitive wisdom is welcome and encouraged.

What does working together look like?
I offer what we call concierge therapy. Concierge Therapy means my practice is intentionally small, so I can embrace a truly client-centered approach that offers greater privacy and attention. This also means my emails are always open; you are welcome to bring or share different items to session (literature, poetry, art, music, etc.) I am curious about the many ways you process and experience your life. I often read the books clients mention or take on additional training to make sure I’m meeting your unique needs.
I have a genuine interest in my client’s achieving their goals and feeling their most authentic in mind and body, even if it is often less about feeling better and more about getting better at feeling.
Our work together is relational in nature and a collaborative process, even if I focus a great deal on the creation and realization of your own agency and a sense of trusting oneself.
Outside of session, you might have journal prompts, articles, or resources suggested.
Therapy & Coaching Options
Given the personalized nature of my work, I am able to offer more bespoke ways to work together.
Individual Therapy:
Coaching:
Not everyone is able to attend weekly ongoing work, and that is not a lesser path. Sometimes people come to me with one specific thing they need help untangling, whether a decision, a relationship, or a moment they cannot stop replaying. For that, a focused intensive session could do real work.
This is not a smaller version os therapy; it is simply a different shape of support.
*If you cannot afford my full fee, sliding scale may be available to you. The slide goes from my full fee down a bit. Please ask if the need exists to see if you fit into a category for assistance.
Lifestyle Support Sessions
Sometimes you need to speak to someone skilled in a specific area of work I offer, such as sexual trauma, abusive relationships, life transitions, running a business as a woman, or grief. These sessions are coaching support and offer a safe space to talk to a qualified professional that does not have to include continued work together.
The ongoing work of therapy and a therapeutic relationship is always recommended, but I understand that is not always a viable option, and sometimes you just need to talk to someone.
Together, we will share time, space, and even make plans for what would help you the most in this moment.
